1000 series aluminum plate

Due to the absence of other technical elements, the production process is relatively simple and the price is relatively cheap, making it the most commonly used series in conventional industries. The majority of the products circulating in the market are the 1050 and 1060 series. The minimum aluminum content of 1000 series aluminum plates is determined according to the last two Arabic numerals. For example, the last two Arabic numerals of 1050 series are 50. According to the international brand naming principle, the aluminum content must reach 99.5% or more. China’s aluminum alloy technical standard (GB/T3880-2006) also clearly stipulates that the aluminum content of 1050 should reach 99.5%. Similarly, the aluminum content of 1060 series aluminum plates must reach above 99.6%.
2000 series aluminum plate
The characteristic of the 2A16 (LY16) 2A06 (LY6) 2000 series aluminum plate is its high hardness, with the highest copper element content, around 3-5%. The 2000 series aluminum plates belong to aviation aluminum materials and are not commonly used in conventional industries. There are few manufacturers in China that produce 2000 series aluminum plates. The quality cannot be compared with foreign countries. The imported aluminum plates are mainly provided by Korean and German production enterprises. With the development of China’s aerospace industry, the production technology of 2000 series aluminum plates will be further improved.
3000 series aluminum plate
Representing 3003, 3003, 3A21 primarily. Also known as anti rust aluminum plate, China’s 3000 series aluminum plate production process is relatively excellent. The 3000 series aluminum plate is mainly composed of manganese element. The content ranges from 1.0 to 1.5. It is a series with good rust prevention function. Commonly used in humid environments such as air conditioning, refrigerators, and car bottoms, with a price higher than the 1000 series, it is a commonly used alloy series.
4000 series aluminum plate
The aluminum plates represented by the 4A01 4000 series belong to the series with higher silicon content. Typically, the silicon content ranges from 4.5 to 6.0%. 5000 series
Representing the 5052.5005.5083.5A05 series. The 5000 series aluminum plate belongs to the commonly used alloy aluminum plate series, with magnesium as the main element and a magnesium content between 3-5%. Also known as aluminum magnesium alloy. The main characteristics are low density, high tensile strength, and high elongation. The weight of aluminum magnesium alloy is lower than that of other series under the same area, so it is commonly used in aviation, such as aircraft fuel tanks. It is also widely used in conventional industries. The processing process is continuous casting and rolling, which belongs to the hot-rolled aluminum plate series and can be used for oxidation deep processing. The 5000 series aluminum plate is one of the more mature aluminum plate series in China.
6000 series
Representative 6061 mainly contains magnesium and silicon elements, so it combines the advantages of the 4000 series and 5000 series. 6061 is a cold treated aluminum forging product suitable for applications with high requirements for corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance. Good usability, excellent interface characteristics, easy coating, and good processability. Can be used on low-pressure weapons and aircraft joints.

7000 series
7075 mainly contains zinc. It also belongs to the aviation series and is an aluminum magnesium zinc copper alloy that can be heat treated. It is a superhard aluminum alloy with good wear resistance. The 7075 aluminum plate is stress relieved and will not deform or warp after processing. All ultra large and ultra thick 7075 aluminum plates are detected by ultrasonic waves, ensuring no sand holes or impurities. The high thermal conductivity of the 7075 aluminum plate can shorten the forming time and improve work efficiency. The main feature is that the hardness of 7075 is high, and it is a high-strength aluminum alloy commonly used in the manufacturing of aircraft structures and futures. It requires high stress structural components and mold manufacturing with high strength and strong corrosion resistance. Basically relying on imports, China’s production technology still needs to be improved. 8000 series
The commonly used 8011 belongs to other series. In my memory, the main function of aluminum plates is to make bottle caps, which are also used in radiators, with most of the applications being aluminum foil. Not very commonly used.
9000 series
Belonging to the backup series, technology is so advanced.
